Army of ink # 22

Little Miss Muppet sat on her tuffet.  Along came a spider and she said:  “Here, pull up a seat.”  For beauty is awake you see to the stories they spin so she can’t break free.  So now she sits in the itsy, bitsy fright, dreaming sweet dreams in day and in night.   Click image for handwritten poster.

Some places are so dark she didn’t want to go there.   But once she’d looked under the bed – she didn’t have to sleep in the middle anymore.

What she means to me  This ink is about  challenging the origin of fear and a sign for me that times are a changin’.  In the original nursery rhyme, when creepy comes along, he scares poor Miss Muppet away.  But now she lies belly up in ink – unintimidated by his hairy approach.  In fact, she completely disarms him by offering him a seat!  “Rack off hairy legs!” springs to mind here.  She helps me trust more – fear less.  I think that’s why she’s lying blissfully in her sweet dreams.   She’s always feared what was under the bed.  Now she’s found the courage to take a look – she doesn’t have to leap from the light switch anymore.
