Hand made

BLOG hand made

Mags wrote this on the black board yesterday – we’re in the processing of handmaking books, hence why the BLOG’s been a bit empty this week.   MAG’s TIP:  Dip chalk in water before writing to get this pasty effect.

Dog goes to Uni

BLOG poster

Email from M of Melbourne …

“I was recently walking to class at Melbourne University, and noticed a poster on the door of an office, which said The Black Dog Project.   I read the story, and it was one of the most beautiful, moving things I have ever read.  It told the story of a black dog who retreated into the dark where it found other black dogs and formed a sort of solidarity with them, and then it also described how it is easy to turn away from the dark corners of the world and stay in the realm of ‘Have a nice day’, etc.  It was something that touched me quite deeply and I would love to read it again (though don’t think I should take the poster off the lecturer’s door!)”

Here’s a PDF of the poster so you can print and post up somewhere.   Can you find the spelling mistakes – too (is a clue)?…
