Sand Castles

Sand Castles .

A tide of words, only of mine, lap at an unwelcoming world.    And therein the rise and fall is the most masterful play for place.   Where, within its shallow strip, I catch my ‘self’.

Footnote:  Poem from beach series.  For me,  about narrowing/shrinking down the world to a manageable, comfortable size.   I also think our sense of identity and self is kind of a tidal like process.  It comes and goes.  Evolves through the continual processing of the world around us, our thoughts and feelings – relationships.   This sense of endlessness, and the opportunity it offers, is quite consoling I think – particularly in times of turmoil, darkness and confusion.
