Black Dog origami! A gift – thanks Mags! The other little dog? I rescued him from a shop. He was destined to be a chop stick holder. Now he has a paper pal.

Had visitors last night. First they sipped from the bath at my window. Bowed to me in the front row seat. Then danced like hallucinating sychronised swimmers in the sprinklers. These moments are absolute gems. Story: The big bird dish I picked up from a rubbish pile outside a pottery place. Lucky for me it had a crack and a chip. Each day it brings a parade of feathered friends to my window. What a treat.

‘Have you got a dollar .. in the coin laundry’ gal, Lisa Mitchell’s CD called Wonder is so, very pretty. Not in a condescending ‘pretty little thing’ sort of way – the ‘pretty ***!!*** good’ kinda way. CD comes with pages full of drawings and scribbles that are a treat too. Soothe your world with this little Wonder.

when I fill pages
with thoughts
it leaves no room
for stories
in my head
tears cease
cartwheeling
down my cheeks

Bit of a preview of what’s going on at Black Dog at the moment (still fiddling with design etc) …. but thanks to Michael and Evelyn at ECOCERN donating beautiful 100% recycled ‘velopes’ to the project, we can now keep the intimate stories and beautiful art secret and safe in special parcels. With another book and postcard collection on the way and some funds from donations, we’ll be able to ’gift’ more of these beautiful parcels to young people. Stay tuned …

A card from a friend … got me thinking … what if we declared a National Pyjama day ( if you wear them that is). They’ve allocated a day for just about everything else! A day doing nothing can be quite an achievement. Pass it on to all the busy people you know …
