Haiku (and creating intriguing objects) helps to keep a rampant mind still - more about Haiku
Massive Attack

Haiku Twitter: Went to Massive Attack concert under the stars- beyond words – except these.
Wrong way – write back!

Haiku Twitter: Had a flash back. Bit heavy for a Sunday morning but here it is …. It’s called PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) – I call it a haunted head space. In an instant I’m transported back in time and I can see, feel, smell, hear and taste the memory. Won’t tell you what I saw but interestingly, it was writing Haiku that helped me find my way back. Think the counting of syllables might have something to do with it too? Here they are … post traumatic stress/like dominoes in reverse/popping up in face then tears rush through throat’s back/spiralling down rib cage slide/pipes burst open wide (it’s like being swallowed up and you can’t get anything out) and … Merry-go- round mind/flying off through inner space/SHOUT! – I’m not going! I still went, but made it back quicker this time. The ‘handle with care’ sticker (next post) helped me repair the damage.
