Bowled over!

Received this beautiful, mind bending bowl as a gift today from my young friend Mags - handcrafted using Black Dog posters! An absolute work of art and something I shall forever treasure. Mags also does the inky black handwriting for the Army of Ink – and is hand making the next book too. Check out the new ink in the diaries. Happy 21st Mags! x
3D web play
Back from Melbourne where, quite by accident, we discovered another dimension to the website – and a visual representation of brainstorming …

Creatures of the net (Mike and Kareen) … eat your heart out Dr Who’s cybermen

Mike wearing words – every face has a story

Me in the dark – my comfort zone.

Inky things … the guys from Shaking Paper and Beyond the Pixels kindly donate their time to Black Dog – a big thanks guys x
Up, up and away

Off to Melbourne for a creative and personal recharge – back with some goodies soon.
Hand made

Mags wrote this on the black board yesterday – we’re in the processing of handmaking books, hence why the BLOG’s been a bit empty this week. MAG’s TIP: Dip chalk in water before writing to get this pasty effect.
No Diet Day

From The Butterfly Foundation … ‘ help us continue challenging society’s perceptions of dieting and weight obsession by supporting International No Diet Day. Peek behind the scenes …

Been busy turning a poem line into reality … “Little helpers gathered spilling rich black ink into soft white sheets, tailoring picture books to fill empty spaces.” A peek at progress. Found this industrial table destined for the tip last week which helped us along – complete with graffiti tag and lumps and bumps. Garage sale couch for BLACK (and white) DOG. That’s Angela in the background …

…hand made notes and things for ‘little helpers’ to make. Just something so special about receiving something hand and home made …

… and receiving something lovingly and intriguingly gift wrapped (thanks to ECOCERN for kindly donating the ’velopes)…

… found this wrap in a clothes designers scraps bag … used for ties above too … stay tuned for the ‘tailoring of picture books’ …
